Baia, known as Baleal Sul, is the 4-kilometre-long stretch of beach that goes from Peniche to Baleal. Near Peniche, you can find Gamboa and Cerro, two lineups that receive less swell and are perfect for beginners.
The swell hits hardest in the middle of the bay, a beach break called Meio da Baia. When the swell is right and the wind is clean this wave can pack some power and you will definitely find some quality barrels that will be hard to forget.
